32 WordPress Keyboard Shortcuts

The WordPress editor has two toolbars filled with buttons to give you control over the formatting of your posts and pages. With these buttons, you can change paragraph styles, add bold and italics, add links, and more. But did you know these same commands are available with keyboard shortcuts?

WordPress breaks these down into two categories, “default” shortcuts and “additional” shortcuts. Below is a complete list of WordPress keyboard shortcuts. You can also press Ctrl + Option + H on a Mac or Ctrl + Shift + H on a PC in the WordPress editor to view the list.

WordPress default keyboard shortcuts

To access these shortcuts, press Command + the letter on a Mac and Ctrl + the letter on a PC. They’re listed with the Mac shortcut first and the Windows shortcut second.

  • Bold (Cmd + B / Ctrl + B)
