One question we hear sometimes is whether WordPress can scale to meet the needs of large corporations. WordPress isn’t just a platform for small-time websites. Many large companies, including famous brands you’ll recognize, use WordPress for their website. Here are some examples:
The White House
The official website for the White House has used WordPress through multiple Presidential administrations.
Facebook Newsroom
Social media platforms use custom websites to access their enormous database of posts, pictures, and such, but Facebook’s company website uses WordPress.

Steak ‘N Shake is one example of many restaurants using WordPress. The restaurant even makes use of the WP Store Locator plugin to list its locations.
Wil Wheaton
Popular actor Wil Wheaton, best known for his role in Star Trek: The Next Generation and more recently for his cameos in The Big Bang Theory, has a personal blog site running WordPress. Wheaton’s site, which he started 20 years ago, has a brutalist look that is a good fit for his audience.
